Review: Daniel Lee Butler (2013) *** 1/2 (out of 4), with a look at 50 years of American history through the eyes of Cecil Gaines (Forest Whitaker), a black man who saw his father as a boy Killed , tet, but manages to get rid of the cotton field and serves as a butler in the White House for eight different presidents. Directed by Lee Daniels, a significant theme and manages to make it interesting for most people. I say this because the film seems to be as mainstream getting attacked, but I think the director was a very good job of telling the story, where many would enjoy it. It certainly does not hurt that you've Whitaker turning into one of the best performances of his career as a butler, who we grow and change over the course of the history of America. The film is very similar to Forest Gump feeling as we walked through the first few days when the blacks still work in the cotton fields to the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War and, of course, incidents, Nixon won to go for yourself. I really think the director has managed to tell a particular aspect of the story and keep it interesting throughout. Some people are calling the movie but really racist? Cmon now. Performances definitely the highlight film with Whitaker does a great job. I liked how the scenario had to change him all his life, like a real man, and I think it perfectly captures everything Whitaker. Type Whitaker manages to bring these events as well as taking care of his personal story is, if the image of the heart. Support cast includes strong performances by Oprah Winfrey, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lenny Kravitz, Terrance Howard, as well as a wide range of guest appearances by Clarence Williams III, Robin Williams, Vanessa Redgrave, John Cusack, Olivia Washington, Liev Schreiber , Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda others. I will say that I have it pretty strange that none of the participants had a really sound or look like the presidents who play them. Lee Daniels BUTLER certainly been told through the loving care of the director and even 132 minutes it never feels long.
